Fair questions

Straight answers about how Rafador works, what it costs, and what it will and won't do.

[ A ]How it works
[ 01 ]How does Rafador answer application questions?->
Only from the information you give it. Your profile, your resume, and the answers you save are the source for every field. If a question can't be answered truthfully from that information, Rafador doesn't guess and it doesn't make things up.
[ 02 ]What about essay-style questions?->
Some applications ask open-ended questions, like why you want the role or how your experience fits. If Rafador can answer truthfully from your resume and profile, it writes a response grounded in that information. If it can't, it doesn't answer. It never invents experience, opinions, or stories for you.
[ 03 ]Can I see what was sent on my behalf?->
Yes. The resumes and cover letters generated for each role are saved to your account. And when an employer sends a confirmation, that email goes to your own inbox, straight from them, and we keep the submission confirmation as your proof on your applications page. Not every employer sends one, so it isn't a scorecard. It's the best proof available when it exists, and it doesn't depend on us.
[ 04 ]Does Rafador need my attention while it runs?->
No. Once your profile is set up, it runs on its own. Every submission is checked for completeness before it goes out, and anything it can't complete truthfully it skips instead of handing back to you.
[ B ]Plans, your first five, and billing
[ 05 ]What's the difference between the plans?->
Starter gives you 40 applications a month: it finds jobs matching your criteria, completes the whole application from your stored answers, submits it, and keeps the employer's confirmation when one arrives. Pro raises that to 100 and adds fit evaluation, so it weighs every role against your resume, location and goals before applying and passes on the weak matches instead of padding the number. Premium adds a resume and cover letter written for the specific job, per application. Your first five applications are free on whichever one you pick — Starter: Free for your first five, then $9/month. Pro: Free for your first five, then $29/month. Premium: Free for your first five, then $59/month.
[ 06 ]What does "first five free" actually mean?->
Five real applications, completed and submitted to real employers, at no charge. Not a five-day look around and not a limited demo. You finish setting up your search, pick which plan your five run on, and Rafador starts applying. If you pick Premium, your five go out with a resume and cover letter written for each job.
[ 07 ]When do I get charged?->
Five days after you pick your plan. You see the exact date before you enter a card, it's on the screen where you agree to it, and we email you the day before it happens. The plan starts at the price you saw when you picked it, and your full monthly allowance starts the same day.
[ 08 ]What if my five haven't gone out by then?->
Then your plan doesn't start on that date. It starts on the first day all five have been submitted. We don't charge for work that hasn't gone out. If applications are waiting on an answer we don't have yet, we'll tell you which one, because that's usually the fastest thing to fix.
[ 09 ]What counts as one of the five?->
An application that actually went out. If Rafador passed on a job because completing it would have meant guessing about you, that one isn't counted against your five. Neither is a job it's holding while it waits for an answer from you.
[ 10 ]What's the difference between a skipped job and a held one?->
A skip is Rafador's decision: the form asked something it couldn't answer truthfully from your information, so it moved on to the next match. A hold is waiting on you: the job is a match and the application is ready except for an answer that isn't in your profile yet. Held jobs go out as soon as you fill the gap, and they're listed in your account so you can see exactly what's missing. Neither one counts against your five.
[ 11 ]Do my five come out of my first month's applications?->
No. The five are free and separate. When your plan starts, your full monthly allowance starts with it.
[ 12 ]What happens if I cancel during my five?->
Your plan doesn't start and nothing is charged. The free applications you have left still go out, and you keep everything already submitted.
[ 13 ]Can I change plans after picking one?->
Yes, from your account settings, during your five or after. Switching down keeps the applications that have already gone out.
[ C ]Your data, cancelling, and what we don't promise
[ 14 ]What happens to my data?->
Your data is encrypted, isolated to your account, and we never sell it for money. Your resumes, cover letters, application answers, and application history are never shared with advertising platforms, and we do not run advertising trackers on the pages where you manage them. On our public marketing and sign-up pages we do use standard advertising and measurement tools, which several state privacy laws treat as "sharing" for targeted advertising. You can opt out any time through the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in our footer, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals automatically. The details are in our Privacy Policy. Payments are processed by Stripe, so your card details never touch our servers.
[ 15 ]Can I cancel anytime?->
Yes. Plans renew monthly and you can cancel whenever you like, from your account settings, in the same place you signed up. There are no long-term contracts, and no phone call or email to us is required.
[ 16 ]Do you guarantee interviews or offers?->
No, and you should be wary of anyone who does. Rafador takes the repetitive work out of a serious search so more employers actually see you. Hiring decisions always belong to the employers.
